Early Access Program Introduced by OutSystems for Agent Workbench
OutSystems, a leading low-code development platform provider, has embarked on a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This collaboration will enable OutSystems to deliver deeper integrations with AWS services in the OutSystems Cloud.
As part of this collaboration, OutSystems has launched the OutSystems Agent Workbench, an AI-powered low-code platform designed to create and orchestrate intelligent AI agents across an enterprise efficiently and securely. The Agent Workbench is now available for sign-up in its Early Access Program.
The Agent Workbench offers a centralized development and orchestration of AI agents in a single platform, reducing redundancy and preventing AI agent sprawl, enhancing oversight and governance. It provides a unified data fabric that connects to diverse enterprise data sources, ensuring accurate and context-rich responses across workflows.
The platform simplifies the transformation of existing business applications, workflows, and tools into intelligent, agentic systems that can reason, plan, and act. It facilitates rapid ramp-up and adoption by IT teams due to its low-code ease, accelerating digital transformation and modernization of legacy systems while mitigating new technical debt risks.
Key features of the Agent Workbench include the configuration of a foundational layer of large language models (LLMs) and data to power intelligent agent actions, allowing enterprises to tailor AI agents for various use cases and departments. It also integrates with OutSystems' low-code application platform to combine speed of development with enterprise-grade power, enabling the creation of secure, governed, mission-critical agents and applications ready for production, not just prototypes.
The benefits of the Agent Workbench are manifold. It simplifies complex AI agent development and lifecycle management, centralizing control while maintaining security and compliance. It accelerates time to market for intelligent agents, helping organizations innovate faster with reliable and governed AI capabilities. It reduces the risk of fragmented AI implementations by providing a unified platform for AI agent management, improving enterprise-wide consistency and oversight.
Moreover, the Agent Workbench enables IT and business teams to work together more effectively by leveraging low-code tools and AI capabilities for mission-critical applications and agents. It offers real-time monitoring, logging, error tracing, and built-in guardrails to ensure transparent, reliable decision-making.
OutSystems has also announced the first-ever Low-Code School in the UK, increasing career opportunities for low-code developers. This free-of-charge course is open to any developer, following the success of the OutSystems Low-Code School in Portugal.
The OutSystems Cloud Innovation Summit, taking place virtually June 7-8, has been announced. The theme of the second annual event is "Build it for Your Business."
With the launch of the OutSystems Agent Workbench, OutSystems continues to push the boundaries of low-code development, empowering enterprises to build, deploy, and manage intelligent AI agents at scale, accelerating digital transformation while maintaining control, security, and operational efficiency.
