DeepL Appoints Gonçalo Gaiolas as New Chief Product Officer
DeepL, a leading global AI company, has appointed Gonçalo Gaiolas as its new Chief Product Officer (CPO). Gaiolas brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at SoSafe and OutSystems, where he demonstrated a strong track record in product innovation and leadership. The appointment comes on the heels of DeepL's expansion into the broader AI market with the launch of DeepL Agent.
Gaiolas joins DeepL from SoSafe, a B2B cybersecurity company, where he served as Chief Product and Technology Officer. During his tenure, he successfully doubled the company's revenue and expanded its global reach. Prior to SoSafe, Gaiolas spent over a decade at OutSystems, holding senior product leadership roles, including Chief Product Officer.
At DeepL, Gaiolas will focus on advancing the company's Language AI solutions and exploring the potential of agentic AI. His appointment follows the recent unveiling of DeepL Agent, an autonomous, general-purpose AI agent designed to tackle repetitive tasks faced by knowledge workers. The product is currently in beta, marking DeepL's first expansion beyond language solutions.
DeepL's CEO, Jarek Kutylowski, expressed enthusiasm about Gaiolas' appointment, citing his impressive background in product innovation and people leadership. Gaiolas' expertise will be crucial as DeepL continues to push the boundaries of AI, both in language solutions and the broader AI market.
