Cyber Risk Meetups Return to Singapore, Manila, and Adelaide This November
Cyber Risk Meetups are set to return to Singapore, Manila, and Adelaide this November. The community recently reconvened in Sydney for the first time since 2019, with Shamane Tan, the founder, expressing joy at the 'meetup' reunion.
The Sydney event was sponsored by Tanium, Rubrik, Inc., MySecurity Media, and Sekuro. Shamane Tan kicked off the 'meetup' with an opening presentation on managing cyber risk. Olivia Monteiro served as the event's emcee.
The 'meetup' was held at IBM's George Street offices, offering stunning views of Sydney Harbour. It was organized in partnership with the ISACA Sydney Chapter. Vivienne Mutembwa moderated a panel featuring Gemma Kyle, Chris Cruz, and Imtiaz Khan. The panelists discussed the '3 C's of Cyber' - Crown Jewels, Communication, and Culture.
Upcoming Cyber Risk 'meetups' are scheduled for Singapore on November 2, Manila on November 11, and Adelaide on November 30. The community's return in Sydney was a significant 'event', with engaging discussions and notable sponsors. The 'meetups' continue to foster dialogue and learning in the cybersecurity community.
