Commences drilling operations at the Yellowknife Lithium Project, located in the Northwest Territories (NWT)
Li-FT Power Kicks Off 2025 Drilling Program at Yellowknife Lithium Project
Li-FT Power Ltd. (TSXV: LIFT, OTCQX: LIFFF, FSE: WS0) has announced the commencement of drilling at its Yellowknife Lithium Project in the Northwest Territories, Canada on August 25, 2025. The planned drill program targets the Shorty dyke and the Nite dyke, aiming to expand and better define spodumene resources within these dykes.
The drilling program consists of 10 drill holes totaling 3,445 meters. The Shorty dyke will be drilled for 2,655 meters, while the Nite dyke will undergo drilling for 790 meters. The focus will be on high-grade spodumene intercepts open at the limits of previous 2023 and 2024 drilling campaigns, conducted at approximately 100-meter inferred spacing to a vertical depth of 300-350 meters from surface on each dyke.
The drilling at the southwest end of the dyke will offset spodumene intercepts in YLP-0079 and YLP-0059. Meanwhile, five of these holes are testing the northeast end of the dyke, offsetting holes YLP-0284 and YLP-0097.
The Nite pegmatite complex comprises a north-northeast trending corridor of parallel-trending dykes exposed for at least 1.4 km. The Shorty pegmatite is composed of several sub-parallel dykes that define a spodumene pegmatite corridor at least 1.4 km long and up to 100 m wide. The mineral resource estimate at LIFT's YLP covers 8 spodumene-bearing pegmatite dykes, including the Shorty and Nite dykes.
Ron Voordouw, Ph.D., P.Geo., has reviewed and approved the disclosure of scientific and technical information regarding LIFT's mineral properties. The consolidated in-pit MRE is 50.4 million tonnes (Mt) grading 1.00% LiO, containing 506,000 tonnes of LiO (1.25 million tonnes of LCE) in the inferred category.
Francis MacDonald, President & CEO of LIFT, stated that the focus for 2025 is on environmental baseline work, data collection, and resuming drilling to expand the resource base at the Yellowknife Lithium Project. The company aims to continue its impressive growth, with the YLP project currently ranking as one of the top 10 largest spodumene projects in the Americas after only 10 months of drilling.
This latest news in the battery market is significant, as the Yellowknife Lithium Project holds potential for significant lithium resources that could contribute to the growing demand for lithium in the global battery industry. The drilling program is expected to provide valuable data and insights that will help in the further development of the project.

The announcement indicates that Li-FT Power will drill two new deep holes at the Yellowknife Lithium Project, which is a significant development within the battery market. This drilling program is part of the company's strategy to expand and better define spodumene resources within the Shorty and Nite dykes, emphasizing the intersection of the finance, technology, and industry sectors. The drilling program aims to contribute to the growing demand for lithium in the global battery industry.
