Collaboration Unveiled: Carbon GPT Joins Forces with Malaysian Stock Exchange and Leading Corporations

In a groundbreaking move, Carbon GPT, a leading AI-driven sustainability reporting platform, has partnered with Bursa Malaysia, the Malaysian Stock Exchange. This partnership aims to streamline sustainability reporting for Public Listed Companies (PLCs) on the exchange, ensuring more transparent, accurate, and timely disclosures that align with international sustainability standards.

As the official AI partner for Bursa Malaysia’s Corporate Sustainability Identity (CSI) Platform, Carbon GPT will provide an advanced AI-powered solution to help PLCs efficiently comply with Bursa Malaysia’s sustainability reporting requirements, particularly regarding the IFRS S1 and S2 standards (related to sustainability disclosures).

Key aspects of this partnership and the AI-driven solution include:

- **Faster Compliance and Reporting:** The AI tool can reduce the time needed for sustainability reporting by up to 70%, significantly speeding up compliance with IFRS S1/S2 standards. - **Seamless Integration:** It offers smooth data integration with Bursa Malaysia’s CSI Platform, handling multiple file types and automating data collection. - **Enhanced Accuracy and Readiness:** The AI analyzes sustainability data, performs gap analysis, scores readiness levels, and generates detailed reports aligned with Bursa Malaysia’s requirements. - **Actionable Insights:** PLCs receive gap analyses with recommendations to improve their sustainability practices and disclosures. - **Priority Access Program:** There is a special program for eligible Bursa Malaysia PLCs to access this AI-powered reporting solution, helping them meet evolving regulatory standards more effectively.

Dr. Matthew Wong, CEO and Co-Founder of Carbon GPT, expressed gratitude for partnering with Bursa Malaysia. He stated, "We are proud to be part of this initiative that combines AI technology with stock exchange regulatory frameworks to accelerate and improve sustainability reporting, helping PLCs meet regulatory demands while contributing to Malaysia’s sustainable development objectives."

In addition to this, Carbon GPT's reporting is based on data from Bursa Malaysia's new Centralised Sustainability Intelligence ("CSI") Platform. Bursa Malaysia is collaborating with Alliance Bank to offer Carbon GPT's services for free to eligible PLCs, especially small to mid-sized or newly listed companies.

This partnership is a testament to Bursa Malaysia's commitment to strengthening sustainability disclosures among PLCs. Dato' Fad'l Mohamed, CEO of Bursa Malaysia, reaffirmed this commitment, stating, "We are committed to fostering a sustainable and responsible investment ecosystem in Malaysia. Our collaboration with Carbon GPT is a significant step towards achieving this goal."

Dr. Ivan Ling, a Lecturer at the University of Southampton School of Electronics and Computer Science and an expert in machine learning, data analytics, and data storytelling, commented that with Bursa Malaysia's backing, Carbon GPT is now supporting a large number of companies of all sizes, including the top 100 companies listed on the Exchange, to drive improvements in their sustainability and the sustainability of Malaysia as a country.

In essence, the Carbon GPT-Bursa Malaysia collaboration is a pioneering initiative that is set to revolutionize sustainability reporting for Malaysian PLCs, making it more efficient, accurate, and aligned with international standards. This partnership underscores Malaysia's commitment to sustainable finance and responsible investment, a key agenda in the country's discussions and forums on sustainability.
