CEDIA & InfoComm Join Forces for ISE 2017 Cybersecurity Conference
CEDIA and InfoComm have joined forces to present a joint conference at ISE 2017, focusing on cybersecurity for networked AV systems. The event, 'Cybersecurity: How to Help Your Customers Understand, Mitigate, and Respond to Threats', will delve into crucial topics such as penetration strategies, risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and incident response. Industry experts and representatives from both organizations will lead the sessions, set to take place on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 10:00 to 13:00 in Room G106 of the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
The conference aims to educate integrators, consultants, and end users about protecting networked AV systems against escalating threats. Pamela Taggart, CTS, senior director of development Europe, InfoComm International, stresses the importance of understanding the implications of AV systems being part of the IT network and fostering a security culture. Meanwhile, Luke Amos, senior director of education, CEDIA, emphasizes the need for higher standards and proactive responses to cyberattacks in the industry.
The joint conference is accessible through InfoComm's All-Access Pass, allowing attendees to participate in various educational sessions throughout ISE 2017. It will cover a wide range of topics, including penetration strategies to assess vulnerabilities, risk assessment to identify potential threats, mitigation strategies to minimize risks, and incident response plans to manage attacks effectively.
The CEDIA-InfoComm joint conference at ISE 2017 offers a comprehensive exploration of cybersecurity for networked AV systems. By attending, industry professionals can enhance their understanding of threats, learn best practices for mitigation and response, and contribute to raising standards in the industry.
