Canada triumphs in two categories in the recent Tesla Supercharger competition round
Tesla Announces New Supercharger Sites Across North America and Beyond
Tesla has unveiled a list of 18 new Supercharger sites that will soon be joining its expanding network, with locations in North America and internationally. The announcement comes as part of Tesla's Supercharger Voting initiative, which invites Tesla vehicle owners and the community to actively participate in deciding where new Supercharger stations will be built.
In Canada, a number of sites are participating in the next round of Supercharger voting. These include locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia. Residents of these areas can cast their votes through the Tesla app or the company's website at tesla.com/supercharger-voting.
In British Columbia, sites in Langford, Courtenay, UBC, and Prince Rupert are up for voting. Unfortunately, there are no sites in this round in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. Alberta, however, has a total of 12 sites in the voting process, with multiple locations in Calgary and Edmonton, and in the far reaches of the province in Grand Cache, Athabasca, Bonnyville, etc.
Two locations in Canada, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, have secured enough votes to be among the winners. Quebec continues to be a dominant force in the Supercharger voting process.
In the United States, Tesla will add Superchargers in Gardiner, Montana; Walla Walla, Washington; Willow Springs, Missouri; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Prosper, Texas; Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Sandy Springs, Georgia; and Wesley Chapel, Florida.
New Superchargers will also soon be coming to Siheung, South Korea; Sydney West, Australia; Kumiyama, Japan; Istanbul West, Turkey; Sopron, Hungary; Monza, Italy; Strymoniko, Greece; and Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.
The Supercharger Voting initiative is designed to directly involve Tesla customers in expanding the Supercharger network, ensuring that new charging hubs are placed in areas where users most need them. This approach helps Tesla align its infrastructure growth with actual user demand, supporting the broader transition to sustainable energy by making electric vehicle (EV) charging more accessible and convenient. The system improves customer engagement and accelerates the build-out of critical EV infrastructure in strategic and high-traffic areas.
The next round of Supercharger voting is already live for owners and fans to cast their votes. By participating in this initiative, you can help shape the future of Tesla's Supercharger network and make EV charging more convenient for everyone.
