California Bans Excessively Loud TV Ads
California has introduced a new law to tackle a longstanding issue: loud TV commercials. Governor Gavin Newsom signed the breaking news bill into law on Monday, aiming to reduce the volume of news advertisements.
The new law, which came into effect immediately, demands that commercials match the volume of the programmes they interrupt. This update to existing regulations now includes streaming services, previously only covering broadcast and cable providers. The move follows numerous complaints from Californians about the sudden volume spikes during ad breaks.
With the new law in place, Californians can now enjoy their favorite shows without being jolted by excessively loud commercials. The legislation aims to provide a more pleasant viewing experience for all.
