BYD's Atto 1 EV Coming to Australia in November 2025: Affordable and Feature-Packed

BYD's smallest and most popular electric vehicle, the Atto 1, is set to hit Australian shores in November 2025. The vehicle, which is expected to be the lowest-priced EV on the market, has already sold over a million units worldwide since its launch in 2023.

The Atto 1 will come in two variants: Essentials and Premium. The Essentials variant will feature a 30 kWh battery, offering a range of 220 km, and a 65 kW motor. The Premium variant, on the other hand, will boast a larger 42 kWh battery, providing a range of 310 km, and a more powerful 114 kW motor. Despite no official pricing announced, it is expected to be below the base model BYD Dolphin, currently priced at $29,990.

The Atto 1 will also come equipped with a 10.1-inch rotating infotainment screen, compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. BYD Australia's chief operating officer anticipates strong pre-order interest for the vehicle.

The Atto 1's launch in Australia in November 2025, alongside the Atto 2 SUV, is set to provide consumers with an affordable electric vehicle option. With its competitive pricing and impressive features, the Atto 1 is poised to make a significant impact on the Australian EV market.
