BPI Launches US to PH Remittance Service with Instant Transfers and Low Fees
Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has introduced BPI Remit, a swift and secure remittance service for Filipinos in the US to send money to the Philippines. Launched in October 2025, the service offers instant transfers with low fees and efficient transaction tracking.
BPI Remit charges a fixed US$1 fee for transfers below US$250, making it affordable for users. Transfers of US$250 and above are free, encouraging larger transactions. The service provides competitive exchange rates for recipients in the Philippines, ensuring more money reaches them.
BPI Remit offers daily, weekly, and monthly transaction limits of US$700, US$3,500, and US$1,000 respectively, promoting responsible usage. Users can track their transactions in real-time through the app and recipients in the Philippines gain instant access to funds.
Joel De Vera, BPI's Head of Strategy, Products and Support Group, led the development of BPI Remit. He aims to make the service more efficient and secure for users. BPI has been promoting BPI Remit by reaching out to Filipino communities in the US, including sponsoring concerts. The bank also partners with remittance companies like Meridian to deliver the service.
BPI Remit stands out with its low fees, competitive exchange rates, and real-time tracking. With direct fund transfers from a US bank account to a BPI account in the Philippines, it simplifies the remittance process. BPI's commitment to connecting overseas Filipinos with their families back home is evident in this new service.
