Bosch Unveils Game-Changing Driving Tech: Brake-by-Wire, Steer-by-Wire & More

Bosch, a global leader in automotive technology, has unveiled several innovative systems that promise to revolutionize driving experiences. The company showcased its Brake-by-Wire technology in a Nissan Ariya, allowing for optimized brake installation and adjustable braking feel. Meanwhile, Bosch's Vehicle Motion division is set to begin series production of Steer-by-Wire and Brake-by-Wire systems in 2025, with sales in Europe starting in 2026.

Bosch's Vehicle Motion aims to generate over €7 billion in cumulative revenue by 2032 through these advanced systems. The production of these systems will take place at a new plant in Debrecen, Hungary, starting in autumn 2025.

In a separate development, Bosch's new software has transformed a Lexus RZ 450e into a versatile vehicle, capable of switching between a roadster and luxury sedan configurations at the touch of a button. This software-driven flexibility is set to enhance the appeal of electric vehicles.

Bosch has also demonstrated its indirect tire pressure monitoring system in an Audi A3. This system detects punctures, wear, or loose wheels at a lower cost than traditional sensors, contributing to safer and more affordable vehicles.

At its Boxberg test site, Bosch has showcased software-driven suspension solutions in various vehicles. These solutions promise improved comfort and handling, further enhancing the driving experience.

Bosch's Vehicle Motion division operates globally, with a presence in over 17 countries, around 100 locations, and 30 plants worldwide. This extensive network enables the company to deliver innovative solutions to customers across the globe.

Bosch's recent innovations, including Brake-by-Wire, Steer-by-Wire, software-driven vehicle transformations, and advanced tire pressure monitoring, are set to reshape the automotive industry. With a global footprint and ambitious revenue targets, Bosch's Vehicle Motion division is poised to lead the way in next-generation driving experiences.
