In a move to revolutionise visual effects (VFX) creation, Boris FX has unveiled its latest offerings, Silhouette 2023 and Mocha Pro 2023. These innovative tools are designed to streamline workflows, reduce manual labour, and increase precision for VFX professionals.
Silhouette 2023: AI-Driven Tools for Enhanced Roto, Paint, and Compositing
The latest edition of Silhouette brings several new features to the table, including the Stability node. This node integrates Stable Diffusion's deep-learning text-to-image model, enabling digital paint artists to use inpaint, outpaint, or generate images from scratch using text prompts. Additionally, Silhouette 2023 introduces three new grain effects that enhance image texture and realism for compositors and VFX artists.
The Denoiser ML node, another addition to Silhouette 2023, uses sophisticated machine learning techniques to eliminate unwanted noise from images while preserving critical features. The new Mocha Pro 2023 also offers features such as the ability to split splines into new layers, break up roto into different snapshots, and merge multiple layers of tracking data into one. Furthermore, the Remove Module creates a single layer to get rid of unwanted moving objects on locked or static shots without the need for tracking.
