In an exciting development, music production app company Auxy has announced plans to release their debut hardware instrument later in the fall of 2025. The announcement was preceded by the release of a video showing Japanese artist Voboku performing a live set with Auxy Max on an iPhone. The video, posted on January 4, 2025, can be found on Twitter under the username @MusicRadar with the hashtag #マシーンテクノ2025vq.
Auxy Max, the desktop version of the app, has already been launched and is available for download from the App Store. It offers all the same sounds and features as the iOS version, and a free version is available, with more instruments accessible through a paid-for upgrade at $59.99.
In addition to the video, an image has been shared that suggests the hardware product may be a keyboard-style instrument. The image shows an off-white corner with a wooden end cheek and the Auxy logo, supporting the speculation.
