Autel Energy finalizes America's initial EV charging and energy storage venture; broadens nationwide turnkey design offerings in the field

Autel Energy, a leading provider of turnkey design services for electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery storage systems, has recently completed its first EV charging station and battery storage project in the United States. The project, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, is a significant milestone for Autel Energy and marks an expansion of its nationwide services.

The installation features a 250 kWh battery cabinet and a 125 kW power conversion system. It supports one Autel MaxiCharger DC Fast charger and two DC Compact units, providing ample charging capacity for electric vehicles. The project aims to reduce peak demand costs and enhance site resiliency.

The project was permitted and approved by Duke Energy, a prominent energy company in the region. Tesla, another industry leader, also completed a similar project earlier, marking a significant step forward in the adoption of EV charging and battery storage solutions in the USA.

Michelle Luo, Chief Revenue Officer of Autel Energy North America, expressed pride in the team's achievement. She announced that Autel's integrated EV + BESS solutions are now available for quoting. The company expects to complete several additional EV + BESS projects before the end of the year, with installation timelines delivering energized sites before the end of the year.

Autel's BESS projects are fully permitted and aligned with interconnection requirements across North America. The company provides a turnkey approach for end-to-end project services, including site modeling, design, engineering, commissioning, and monitoring.

Autel's battery energy storage systems (BESS) are UL 9540A certified, ensuring safety and reliability. The systems are future-ready, allowing for expansion with additional chargers, storage, and renewable integration. Autel's grid-friendly operations include peak-shaving, load-shifting, and demand-charge management to reduce energy costs and support grid stability.

Autel's integrated EV + BESS solutions are available for quoting now, with installations available before year-end 2025, subject to site conditions and permitting. The company's commitment to innovation and sustainability continues to drive the adoption of EV charging and battery storage solutions across the USA.
