Austria's Used EV Market Booms: Tesla, Porsche Lead Demand
The demand for used electric vehicles (EVs) in Austria has surged, with a significant increase in both supply and interest. This shift is evident in the growing variety of models available and the rising number of listings on platforms like AutoScout24.
Tesla Model 3 and Model Y have emerged as the most sought-after used EVs in Austria, according to market data. These models, along with premium options like the Porsche Taycan and Audi Q4 e-tron, are driving the growth in the used EV market. Other popular choices include the Audi e-tron, Renault Zoe, and VW ID.3.
The supply of used EVs has more than doubled since the start of 2023, with over 10,000 vehicles now listed on AutoScout24, up from around 4,500 in January. This increase is largely driven by major suppliers such as Tesla, Audi, Renault, Volkswagen, and Porsche. The demand has also risen by approximately 70 percent during the same period.
The average price of used electric cars in Austria has dropped by nearly 22 percent since the beginning of 2023, making them more affordable. With around 130,000 used EVs available across Europe, Austria's market is thriving, offering a wide range of models from various manufacturers.
