In the world of music production and sound engineering, our school stands out as a hub of creativity and innovation. Registration with our institution grants access to a variety of free resources, exclusive and provided by our team, that can help you hone your skills and bring your music to life.

One of the most iconic tracks to have been produced using these resources is 'Killer', the hit single by Adamski, featuring Seal. Released in 1990, 'Killer' fuses acid house, soul, and dance music, creating an emotional earworm that has stood the test of time.

The track was produced using a combination of classic equipment, including the Roland TR-909, Ensoniq SQ 80 synth, and Yamaha RX120 Drum Machine. The legendary bassline was emulated using a plugin in a special deconstruction session, conducted using Ableton 10.1 and Push 2, and led by Ski Oakenfull, Head of Curriculum at our school.

During the deconstruction, the emotional chords for 'Killer' were played, shedding light on the music theory behind the track. This session offers a unique opportunity for aspiring music producers to learn from the best and gain insights into the creative process behind one of the most successful tracks of the 90s.

Registering with our school grants access to a variety of free sounds, plugins, online course samples, and tutorials. After registration, visit the Free Stuff page to access these resources.

'Killer' was originally intended for live sets but became a legendary earworm. It was featured on Adamski's album, Doctor Adamski's Musical Pharmacy, released by MCA. The music producer who produced 'Killer' is Adam Tinley (Adamski himself), born in 1967, making him 58 years old in 2025.

In addition to these resources, our school offers a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree, both in a traditional on-campus setting and an online version, providing opportunities for learners from all backgrounds to pursue their passion for music.

Join us at our school and take the first step towards creating your own musical masterpieces with the help of our exclusive resources and expert guidance. Register today and start your journey towards becoming a master of music production and sound engineering.
