Amplified Audio Spectacle at 'Acoustic Live Space' with JBL Speakers

The Maxwell C. King Center, a cultural cornerstone of Brevard County, Florida for 37 years, has undergone a significant transformation in its auditory capabilities. Home to a diverse array of events, from Broadway tours to rock concerts, the King Center required a sound system upgrade to cater to its expanding roster.

Situated in Central Florida, this multi-venue facility, anchored by the 2,016-seat L3 Harris Technologies Theatre, mandated a technologically updated sound system as it hosted national touring productions. After two decades of service, the venue's original JBL Professional sound system was due for replacement. With a commitment to deliver unmatched audience experiences, the King Center embarked on an ambitious three-year project to upgrade its sound system.

Key partners in this endeavor included APAV Solutions, a trusted audio-visual solutions provider, and the King Center's dedicated technicians, including Ed Guilbeau, house audio technician. The project involved upgrading amplifiers and engineering a new steel beam to support the cutting-edge JBL VTX Series loudspeakers. Through tireless efforts, the installation met the venue's rigorous standards for excellence.

Craig Beyrooti, CEO of APAV Solutions, led the design process, utilizing JBL's Venue Synthesis software to create a system capable of delivering pristine sound for any event. The main system consists of flown arrays of VTX A12 Dual 12-inch Line Array Loudspeakers, VTX A12W 120-Degree Dispersion Dual 12-inch Line Array Loudspeakers, and VTX B28 Arrayable Dual-18-inch Subwoofers. Powered by Crown I-Tech amplifiers, this state-of-the-art system promises to revolutionize the King Center's audio experience.

Though the installation process had its challenges, particularly dealing with the space's acoustical sound reinforcement, it was completed smoothly. The new system provides better coverage, with the A12 arrays covering the entire room, including the mezzanine, and the addition of the VTX A12W cabinets significantly improving wide coverage. The system's precision and flexibility ensure an optimal experience for all attendees.

With the upgrade complete, the King Center prepares to deliver an unparalleled audio experience to its patrons. "The coverage is exquisite," said house audio technician Ed Guilbeau. "From the back of the balcony to those first couple seats, everything is even across the board." The venue's audience can now expect clear, powerful audio with precise control over sound coverage and dispersion, ensuring an immersive and enjoyable experience.

The King Center, following its commitment to deliver unmatched audience experiences, has partnered with APAV Solutions to upgrade its sound system, featuring the JBL VTX Series loudspeakers. This upgrade, anchored by flown arrays of VTX A12 and VTX A12W loudspeakers, promises to revolutionize the King Center's events with pristine sound and improved coverage.
