BREAKING: Seiko Unveils Limited-Edition Speedtimer for 2025 Tokyo World Athletics Championships
A Seiko watch of violet hue might become my top-tier preference among chronographs.
Get ready, watch enthusiasts! Seiko's dropped a bomb with their latest release – a limited-edition Speedtimer commemorating the 2025 Tokyo World Athletics Championships.
This bad boy, priced at £650, is powered by a six-month solar movement and limited to a mere 6000 pieces. Mark your calendars for pre-orders starting June 25th!
The dazzling combination of purple and black makes this watch one of my personal favorites for the year. It sports the official color scheme of the championships, which take place in Tokyo on September 13th, 2025. The dial's rich color, named Edo-Murasaki, is Japan's traditional heritage color derived from purple glass found in the Musashino region.
Sporting a compact and stylish 39mm case, this Speedtimer boasts a purple dial contrasted by a black bezel adorned with a tachymeter and three black subdials. Moreover, it comes with a date window at the 4:30 position, and Seiko's logo etched onto the stainless steel case back.
Powered by Seiko's in-house V192 solar-charged movement, this watch offers exceptional accuracy, with a power reserve of six months when fully charged. It charges through both natural and artificial light sources. Plus, it boasts a water resistance of 100 meters.
If you're a fan of timeless design with a modern twist, this Seiko Speedtimer 2025 Tokyo World Athletics Championship in Edo Purple deserves a spot on your wrist! Pre-order this beauty from June 25th.
